Chennai Super Kings’ return to the IPL has coincided with a change in their home stadium. The Super Kings won the season opener in a last-ball thriller and although they won their only ‘home’ match in Chennai, they tasted defeat in Mohali in their last match.

Although Rajasthan Royals are level on points with CSK, they have played 1 more match and also have a worse Net Run Rate. The Royals have struggled to get going so far, with D’ Arcy Short failing to replicate his Big Bash League form in the IPL and they would be desperate to script a win in Pune.

For Chennai, the absence of Suresh Raina further weakens the batting-line-up and even though monumental efforts of Dwayne Bravo and Sam Billings led them to two wins, the batting unit, overall, does not inspire confidence.
